INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACME CONE COMPANY PRODUCTS
The installation
of an Acme Cone Co. accessory involves procedures and techniques very
much like those of any PVC or TPO manufactured product. Proper steps
will insure the customer with the most reliable and virtually maintenance
free system.
Successful installation of an Acme Cone Co. product must be carefully
planned and implemented. A basic understanding of PVC / TPO products
is a key to unnecessary problems. Both PVC / TPO accessories have different
properties in their composition. Therefore each has a similar, but different
installation procedure.
The basic installation procedure of an Acme Cone Co. product should
follow the same recommendations as the manufacture of the field product
being installed.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Acme Cone Co. accessories are to be hot air welded
only. This means membrane to membrane only.
All surfaces to be welded shall be clean and dry.
HOT AIR WELDING
Hand-held welding equipment is required for installing
Acme Cone Co. accessories. Once the overlap area and the material starts
to soften, immediately follow with a nylon hand roller to press the
heated membrane surfaces together with slow, even movements. Keep the
roller within one inch of the nozzle tip. Angle the hot air tool so
that the flowing air faces the roller. For best results, test the seams
6-8 hours after installation.
